Exhibition presentation: In a world that moves ever faster, that forgets, sometimes uproots us… Racines offers a space to return to what keeps us grounded.
Through eight encounters and eight photographs, Charles de la Horie explores what connects us and carries us across generations. Artists, public figures, and witnesses to everyday life are all asked the same questions: Where do you come from? What lives within you? What do you wish to pass on?
The answers are many: a place, a figure, a faith, sapiens… Sometimes a memory. Sometimes a value. Sometimes a wound. Each photograph reveals the intimate connection between memory, identity, and the future.
This quest is not a retreat. It is a call. A call to remember in order to build what comes next. A call to remain rooted—with clarity, faithfulness, and hope.
Racines invites us to give voice to what we wish to pass on, so that our children may build tomorrow.
